OXON HILL, Md. (WUSA) -- An early morning shooting has left one man dead and police searching for clues in an Oxon Hill neighborhood.
Officials identified the man as 20-year-old Samuel Cheadle, of the 1000 block of 14th Street in Southeast Washington.
Corporal Maria McKinney, spokeswoman for the Prince George's County Police Department, says officers were called to the 4900 block of Maury Place around 1:15 a.m. for a report of the sound of gunshots. Once police arrived at the scene they found Cheadle suffering from multiple gun shot wounds.
Cheadle was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released pending notification of next-of-kin.
Right now police have no information to release on possible suspects. The investigation is ongoing.
