PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. (WUSA9) -- A former District Heights police officer attempted to attack prosecutors during a sentencing hearing Tuesday morning.
Johnnie Riley was in court for a sentencing hearing related to a September 2012 incident during which he shot a fleeing handcuffed suspect, the Prince George's County State's Attorney's office said.
Riley attempted to attack prosecutors and had to be subdued by several sheriff's deputies, the state's attorney's office said.
Riley's bond has been revoked and another sentencing hearing has been scheduled for October 15th, the state's attorney's office reported.
