MONROVIA, Md. (WUSA9) -- Maryland State Police Department is searching for a man who wore a black cloth to cover his face and robbed a 7-Eleven in Monrovia, Md. early Sunday morning.

The armed robbery happened around 4:17 a.m. at a 7-Eleven located at 11801 Fingerboard Road Monrovia, Md. According to authorities, the suspect went into the store and demanded money from the store clerk. The man pulled out a black handgun, police said.

The suspect is being described as a black man, between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs around 150 to 165 pounds.

Police said, he was wearing a dark blue hooded windbreaker style jacket at the time of the robbery. He had blue jean pants on and dark colored shoes.

He was wearing a black cloth to cover his face. He stole an undisclosed amount of money, police said.
