FREDERICK, Md. (WUSA9) -- The Frederick Police Department arrested a 40-year-old man for driving without a license after a foot chase on Saturday.

Police stopped Alonso Joseph Brazzley for an observed violation. Police told Brazzley to slow down and drive into the Comfort Inn Hotel Parking lot.

Brazzley stopped the car and ran across several lanes of traffic to the Motel 6, authorities said.

Officers found Brazzley and learned he was operating his vehicle without a driver's license and a suspended registration, police said.

The man was arrested. He is being charged with one count of driving without a license, one count of fleeing and eluding a uniformed officer, one count of resisting arrest, and one count of driving vehicle on suspended registration, authorities said.
