OLNEY, Md. (WUSA9) -- Police say there has been an outbreak of credit and debit card skimming in Montgomery County, where crooks have been stealing information from gas stations and ATMs.
Capt. Paul Starks of Montgomery County Police Department gives WUSA9 some insight on the crime.
Starks tells us how credit and debit information is vulnerable at any point when the card is swiped. He says the reason for this is because all the the card information is collected and then sent to a series of locations.
