LAUREL, Md. (WUSA9) -- Friday, police and rescue officials responded to a serious crash in the Anne Arundel County section of Laurel, Md.
The accident happened in the 8300 block of Brock Bridge Road, where a red car is split in half. A second vehicle was involved in the collision.
Anne Arundel County fire officials say they received a call around 9 a.m. for the collision, which they are calling a high speed impact accident.
Two victims -- one identified by fire officials as a 24-year-old male -- were transported to medical facilities for non-life threatening injuries. The 24-year-old was taken to a shock trauma center, officials say.
The road has reopened.
