BEL AIR, Md. (WUSA9) -- Maryland State Police Department is searching for a suspect who stole a police tactical vest and related equipment over the weekend in Md. from a police vehicle.
Police said the incident happened in Harford County possibly in the early morning hours on July 25 at a trooper's residence located in Bel Air, Md.
Police said, the rear window of an unmarked Ford Excursion was smashed. The suspect or suspects stole a green ballistic vest on which was labeled Trooper and State Team.
Authorities said, other equipment, including ammunition, a pry bar and a knife were also taken. A green flight suit, and a gas mask were also missing, police said. Police said, there were no firearms in the vehicle at the time of the robbery.
Police said, a suspicious vehicle was seen in the area and is being described as a tan or gold Cadillac with a loud exhaust and Maryland tags.
