FREDERICK, Md. (WUSA9) -- Frederick Police arrested a 27-year-old man Wednesday in connection with an armed home invasion that happened Tuesday night in Frederick, Md.

According to police the incident happened around 10:16 p.m. at a home in the 1000 block of Columbine Dr.

The two victims, a man and a woman, said the suspects knocked on the door and then pulled the man out of his apartment at gunpoint.

Police said only one of the suspects had a gun. Both of the suspects went into the apartment and then threatened the woman, according to authorities.

The two men ran away when they spotted the woman trying to hold back their big dog.

Authorities believe this was not a random incident. According to police, the male victim knew one of the suspects involved.

Police arrested Omari Claude Samms, 27, of Frederick, Md. in connection with the invasion. Samms is being charged with first degree assault, second degree assault, first degree burglary and third degree burglary.
