WHITE PLAINS, Md. (WUSA9) -- Charles County Sheriff's Office is searching for a man who tried to assault a woman in White Plains, Md. at a storage unit Tuesday evening.

Authorities said a woman was going into a storage unit at the Outback Self Storage located at 4615 Crain Highway, when the suspect grabbed her from behind and pushed the victim to the ground.

The man tried to take her clothes off, however the woman was able to fight the suspect off.

According to authorities, the suspect fled in a green car, with possibly four doors that had Maryland War of 1812 registration plates. Authorities said, the car had a dent on the back driver-side bumper.

The suspect is being described as a white man in his thirties. He is about 6 feet tall and weighs around 200 pounds. He has an average build, light brown straight hair about the length of his ears, a patchy mustache and a nickel-size gauge in his earlobe.
