St. MARY'S COUNTY, Md. (WUSA9) -- Two men were arrested Monday in connection with two St. Mary's County robberies that occurred in June.
On June 23, officials began investigating multiple robberies of a jewelry store and the New Market Pharmacy located in Charlotte Hall, Md.
During both incidents detectives determined the same two African American males entered the businesses, produced a handgun and removed U.S. currency, jewelry, prescription medications and personal property of the victims.
During the investigation Furman D. Troy Jr., 43, of District Heights and Darrel C. Lee, 46, of Temple Hills, Md. were identified as suspects and they were arrested without incident on June 30.
Lee and Troy Jr. are each being charged with three counts of armed robbery, three counts of robbery, three counts of second degree assault, first degree assault, possession of a handgun, two counts of use of firearm in commission of a violent crime, three counts of false imprisonment, credit card theft, theft less than $1,000, theft scheme less than $1,000, theft $1,000-$10,000.
