BROOKLYN PARK, Md. (WUSA 9) -- A man robbed a customer who was waiting to pay for items at a discount store in Brooklyn Park on Saturday morning, according to Anne Arundel County Police.

The victim, a 43-year-old man from Baltimore, told police the suspect came out of nowhere, stunned him by putting him in a choke-hold from behind and was able to take some cash from his hand before the suspect ran from the store. Police said that personnel from the Anne Arundel Fire Department examined the victim, but he refused treatment.

Officers responded to the incident, which occurred in the 5100 block of Ritchie Highway in Brooklyn Park, but were unable to locate the suspect. The suspect is described as a black male, 6-foot-2, 175 pounds and about 25 years old. He is believed to be wearing black pants, a black shirt with an orange colored design on it and carrying black colored sunglasses.
