ADELPHI, Md. (WUSA9) -- Prince George's County police have arrested a woman who they say abused her 10-month-old son.
Twenty-year-old Jacqueline Vanessa Diaz-Pineda is charged with with first and second degree child abuse.
On Monday evening, police responded to the 9300 block of Lynmont Drive for the report of an infant suffering a medical emergency.
Police say Diaz-Pineda admitted to assaulting the baby, who was rushed to a hospital in critical condition.
She is being held at the Department of Corrections on a $500,000 bond.
