HYATTSVILLE, Md. (WUSA9) -- Prince George's County fire and rescue officials were on scene at the Prince George's Plaza Metro station for the report of smoke in the tunnel.

The fire department asked WMATA to cut the power to both tracks at the station, but it had to be delayed because trains were already in those tunnels.

The fire has been put out, but officials are still trying to determine what exactly was on fire and where it was.

Metro officials believe it's a power problem unassociated with Metro. Officials say the smoke dissipated on its own and the source was never located.
