TEMPLE HILLS, Md. (WUSA9) -- Prince George's County police say a suspect wanted for attempted murder in Temple Hills is now in their custody.
Twenty-one-year-old Steven Dontrell Smith of Temple Hills faces attempted murder and first degree assault charges for a shooting on May 8.
According to police, at about 1:30 p.m. Thursday officers were called to the 3200 block of Brinkley Road for a shooting. Police say Smith and the victim began arguing while in the parking lot of a shopping center. Smith then pulled out a gun and shot the victim several times.
Police say the victim was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police say that Smith was arrested last Friday night in Charles County, Md. He is now in the custody of Prince George's County Department of Corrections.
