ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WUSA9) -- Police arrested two men Thursday for armed robbery and shooting a man several times in Annapolis on January 20.
Annapolis Police said the incident happened in the area of 20 Silopanna Road around 10 p.m.
Deputies found the 32-year-old Brett Shumaker of Harwood on the road suffering from several gun shot wounds. According to authorities, Shumaker was walking when he was approached by the two men who demanded his belongings.
The men had a knife and a gun, which they used in the incident, police said. While fighting the men off, police said, Shumaker was shot multiple times. He was taken to the Baltimore Shock Trauma for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, police said.
Shumakers was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of CDS with intent to distribute, three counts of possession of CDS, and three counts of possession of CDS paraphernalia for items recovered at the time of the shooting.
Police said Shumaker was released by the District Court Commissioner on his own recognizance.
Deputies were able to determine Maurice Hall, 26 of Annapolis and Savvas Pantelides, 24 of Annapolis were connected with this incident.
Both men were arrested and charged with attempted first and second degree murder, first and second degree assault, use of firearm in a violent crime, armed robbery, robbery, theft less than $1,000 and conspiracy to commit attempted first and second degree murder, , first and second degree assault, use a firearm in a violent crime, armed robbery, robbery and reckless endangerment.
Police said both Hall and Pantelides being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center without bond.
