We're told a 75-year-old man lived in the trailer.
A resident who lives near the trailer home alerted police around 5 p.m., officials said. The fire could have occurred earlier Tuesday, but police said it may have gone unreported because it is in a rural area .
The cause of the fire is also under investigation. The damage to the trailer is an estimated $5,000.
