LEESBURG, Va. (WUSA9) -- An Alexandria man was arrested after police say that he planned to travel and meet a juvenile after "inquiries that were of a sexual nature."
According to Leesburg police officials, the Leesburg Police Department's Criminal Investigations Section began an investigation into inappropriate electronic communications from a man to a Leesburg Police Detective posing as a juvenile in February. After weeks of online communications, police say that 68-year-old Nicholas Joseph Coletto began to make several inquiries that were of a sexual nature.
Then, on Monday, Coletto agreed to travel from Alexandria to Leesburg to meet with the "juvenil," say police. Police say he made it to the meeting place and he was later arrested.
Coletto is now charged with Use of a Communications System to Contact a Minor, which is a felony. He is being held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center, according to police.
