LANDOVER, Md. (WUSA9) -- Prince George's County police are investigating a fatal car accident that killed a 62-year-old in Landover.
It happened on June 7 at about 10:20 p.m. at the intersection of Landover Road and Kenmore Drive, police say. The accident involved two SUVs.
Preliminary investigation suggests that a Ford Explorer was stopped at a traffic light on southbound Landover Road. Louise McFadden, of Dellwood Avenue in Glenarden, was also traveling southbound on Landover Road and rear ended the Explorer, police say.
Both drivers were taken to the hospital, and McFadden died on June 9. The second driver's injuries are not considered to be life threatening.
Preliminarily, speed appears to be a factor in this collision.
