A man is dead and a woman hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries in a domestic shooting.
LANDOVER HILLS, Md. (WUSA9) -- A man is dead and a woman hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries in a domestic shooting.
It happened around 6:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the Cooper's Crossing apartment complex on Warner Avenue in Landover Hills.
"I was just walking with my brother and saw this lady sitting on the ground and she was bleeding. She had blood all over her face all over her shirt, and she was signaling to call the police," Jordan Nwalipenja remembers, who lives nearby.
"I walked over to the scene and I see an older lady just slumped over. I thought it was Kool-Aid on her shirt, the whole time it was blood. She was waiving to us to get help," Chris Smith, a neighbor says. "I couldn't recognize her, there was too much blood on her face. I wish the best for her."
Prince George's County Police are still investigating and have not said who was the shooter. The names of the victims or their relationship have not been released.
The woman was taken to the hospital in critical but stable condition.
