FREDERICK, Md. (WUSA9) -- A 21-year-old man was arrested and charged after Frederick police investigated an allegation of rape earlier this week.
According to police, they began an investigation on Monday and determined a 13-year-old girl "had been raped by a twenty one year old man based on the age disparity between them."
Police say the girl and suspect, Cristian Yuliany Escobar-Revolorio or Frederick, knew each other.
Escobar-Revolorio was arrested on Wednesday, according to police. He is now charged with:
• 2nd degree rape
• 2nd degree sex offense
• 3rd degree sex offense
• 4th degree sex offense
• Sex abuse of a minor
Escobar-Revolorio awaits an appearance before the District Court Commissioner, say police.
