FREDERICK, Md. (WUSA9) -- Md. police arrested a 28-year-old man for possession of 3.5 grams of heroin and for stealing batteries after he was stopped for a minor traffic violation in Frederick.
Authorities said Robert McDonald, 28, of Frederick was stopped for a traffic violation and admitted to having drugs inside his truck. The officer found 3.5 grams of heroin along with several hypodermic needles, authorities said.
Police said the officer also noticed an unusual amount of commercial batteries in the truck.
Authorities have identified three separate owners of the batteries. All 21 of the batteries have been returned.
McDonald is also facing theft charges in addition to the drug possession charges.
