FAIRFAX, Va. (WUSA9) -- A 19-year-old man was caught after he was accused of trying to enter an apartment in Fairfax and then fled on a bicycle.

Police say the incident happened on Saturday at 9 p.m. in the 9800 block of Main Street. Officers responded to the Fairfax Square Apartments for the report of a male subject possibly trying to enter an apartment who had fled the area on a bicycle.

According to police, he was found in the area and identified as 19-year-old Mars Jolo Jones of Centreville.

Their investigation revealed that the bicycle had been taken from a patio outside the apartment. Police say Jones was taken into custody and charged with grand larceny and drunk in public.

His bond was set at $3,000, say police.
