FALLS CHURCH, Va. (WUSA9) -- A woman believed to be in her mid-twenties was found dead in a Falls Church home Wednesday morning, after deputies responded to check on the welfare of a person at the residence.
Fairfax County Police Department said officers responded to a home located in the 6900 block of Westmoreland Road, in Falls Church around 9:30 a.m.
According to authorities, nobody was at home and nothing seemed to be wrong. Later Wednesday deputies went back to the house with a homeowner and found a dead woman.
Police said the woman was one of several people renting out a room in the house.
Police have identified the deceased woman as Glenda Aviles, 28. She died of stab wounds.
Police have obtained an arrest warrant for murder against her boyfriend Juan Ramon Matetu Figueroa, 35. A 2004 Gold Mercedes, four-door sedan, with the Virginia tag WVF-8414 is currently missing and being sought in connection with the incident, authorities said.
