WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- D.C. police have arrested a man in connection with a shooting in Southeast that happened in August.

James Cornelius Robinson of Suitland has been charged for the murder of 30 year-old Jason Alexander Murphy of New Carrollton, officials said.

The incident happened at approximately 2:29 a.m. on August 31 in the 1300 block of Savannah Street, Southeast.

Police say they responded to the report of a shooting and found Murphy suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced.
