WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- The D.C. Department of Health (DOH) is warning residents not to consume possibly contaminated canned greens.
Margaret Holmes 14.5 oz Turnip Greens and 14.5 oz Mixed Greens should not be consumed due to possible contamination, the DOH said.
The cans may have questionable seals, the U.S. Food and Drug administration warns.
The affected product was distributed in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, D.C., Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee, the DOH said.
Possibly contaminated cans have the five digit production lot code: F13EX, on the top of the can, DOH said.
The recall does not include any other Margaret Holmes vegetables.
If you have any of these items you should discard them, the DOH said.
To receive a refund for the product customers may contact McCall Farms consumer services at 1800-277-2012, the U.S. Food and Drug administration said.
