WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- August 22nd marks Chuck Brown Day in the District. On Friday and the city is celebrated with a special dedication.
Two years after the death of the Godfather of Go-Go, the Chuck Brown Memorial Park was dedicated to the beloved entertainer.
The park is located in Northeast D.C. at Langdon Park. Among the many structures designed to honor Brown is a memorial wall with mosaic images of the late artist.
Mayor Vincent Gray hosted the event. Brown's family was in attendance.
