WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- In a tweet on Friday evening, D.C.'s so called "Mayor for Life" voiced his opinion on the shooting of Michael Brown.
In his tweet, Barry mentioned the St. Louis police officer named today, Officer Wilson, and said he believed Michael Brown was executed by the officer.
Barry also released an official statement on Friday evening. In his statement, Barry offered his condolences to the Brown family and the Ferguson community.
Barry condemned the actions of Officer Wilson and said that: "this situation is not only applicable to Ferguson, Missouri, but all over America. African-American boys and men everywhere are in danger of being shot and/or assaulted by the police. The justice system in this country must be evaluated"
