WASHINGTON (WUSA 9) --- A drone flips and spins inside the revamped RadioShack in Chinatown.

The AR Drone by Parrot is a nearly $300 tech toy that captures video and photos, according to Bethany, a store manager.

RadioShack launched 23 "experimental" stores in the local area, Tuesday, August 5, 2014.

Consumers will find "products new-to-market and products made by inventors," said Merianne Roth, VP of Communications at RadioShack.

One may also observe a 3D printer in action or learn about a new toy invented for young girls called Roominate. The toy product exposes girls to playing with wires and circuits, according to its inventor, Bettina Chen.

RadioShack offers adults the option to bring in broken smartphones to be fixed for a fee (price range approximately $39 to $119).
