WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Police say they've arrested a man they believe is responsible for three July armed robberies in Washington, D.C.
Thirty-six-year-old Christopher Lee Tyler of Northeast Washington was taken into custody following an armed robbery incident on Wednesday night at a supermarket in the 400 block of M Street, Southeast.
Officers say he is also responsible for the July 15 armed robbery of a restaurant in the 1500 block of Benning Road, Northeast, and a July 25 armed robbery of a supermarket located in the 1600 block of Maryland Avenue, Northeast.
During each robbery, police say Tyler brandished a weapon and obtained U.S. currency before fleeing the scene.
