WASHINGTON (WUSA 9) -- D.C. Police have arrested the suspect they say killed a woman in Northwest.

30-year-old Keiva Hooks of Northwest D.C. is being charged with second degree murder while armed in connection to the murder of 54-year-old Tajuana Lynn Hooks.

Police say that at approximately 5:20 a.m., officers responded to the 1300 block of Columbia Road to a call for an aggravated assault. On the scene, they found Tajuana Hooks unresponsive and unconscious.

Tajuana Hooks' body was brought to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy, officials say.
