WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- The FBI and Metropolitan Police Department are looking for a suspect in connection with two attempted bank

robberies that happened on Thursday at a Wells Fargo Bank located in NW D.C. and SE D.C.

Authorities said the incident happened at 10 a.m. at a Wells Fargo Bank located at 3325 14th Street in NW, D.C. The suspect went up to the teller and demanded money, authorities said.

The suspect did not get any money and left that bank. Around 12 p.m. the same suspect went into another Wells Fargo Bank located at 3200 Pennsylvania Ave in SE, D.C. He demanded money from the teller and failed to get any. The suspect left the bank, authorities said.

According to police, the suspect is described as a black man, 6 feet tall, with a mustache and a goatee. He was wearing a black suit and tie with a blue shirt and black sneakers at the time of the incident. The suspect also had black sunglasses and a black knit hat on with a brim.

A $5,000 reward is being offered by the FBI for information that helps lead to identification and an arrest of this suspect, authorities said.
