WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) announced a series of closures along the Anacostia Freeway (I-295 and DC 295) that will take place from 10 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday.
DDOT said the closures will allow for the installation of sign structure-related infrastructure as part of construction of new dynamic message signs on the highway.
The closures will be in the following locations:
- Anacostia Freeway (I-295), between Malcolm X Avenue SE and Suitland Parkway, and
- Anacostia Freeway (DC 295), between Pennsylvania Avenue SE and East Capitol Street.
There will be signs to help guide drivers in this area, DDOT said.
