Specifically Beaumont writes, "The section right in front of the Howard Theater. Between Georgia Avenue and 6th Street. This street has several potholes and this needs to be addressed by DDOT."

Well, we have some great news for everyone who drives in the 600 block of Florida Avenue, NW. The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is all over it, and we're talking about more than filling potholes. DDOT tells WUSA9 they are about to start a major repaving project along Florida Avenue.

As for all those other potholes in the city that aren't part of a repaving project, there's more good news! Wednesday, April 9 the District is kicking off Potholepalooza. An annual month-long DC tradition. DDOT will add extra staffing and promises to make pothole repairs within 48 hours after receiving a complaint. Right now they promise to fill those craters within 3 business days.
