WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- An exhibit of Kimono is mounted at the Gallery at Mandarin Oriental and will be available until April 25.
The exhibit is curated by Paul MacLardy and Tena Turner of Arise Bazaar and features nature motifs used in Japanese textiles focusing on the dying and weaving techniques to create kimono.
Learn about the meanings of all the nature symbols and on the various handmade techniques used to create the kimono.
Arise Bazaar has been involved with National Cherry Blossom Festival for 18 years. Their Gallery is located at 3108 M street NW (Blues Alley entrance) Washington, DC.
