WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA9)--The District will start accelerating pothole repairs on Wednesday, April 9. This is when their annual Potholepalooza kick-off campaign begins.
Potholepalooza is a month-long DC tradition. DDOT adds extra staffing and makes pothole repairs in 48 hours versus the traditional 72 hours.
The original date for Potholepalooza was supposed to be Thursday, March 20. Then bad weather postponed the start. March 25 was the second attempt at the initiative, until another weather delay was called.
DDOT encourages drivers to report potholes by calling 311 from within the District, you can go online or you can email DDOT at Potholepalooza@dc.gov/ There are also social media options. You can tweet to @ddotdc or go to the Potholepalooza 2014 Facebook page.
Then there is your other option: TELLWUSA9 and we will do the leg work for you to get a pothole fixed.
Since January, DDOT has made over 25,000 pothole repairs throughout the city.
