WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Law enforcement officials investigated a suspicious package at the National Air and Space Museum on Wednesday afternoon.
Officers were called to the scene at 12:47 p.m. for two separate reports. First, there was an unconscious man inside the museum. At the same time, they received a call for a suspicious package.
Sgt. Lalani Woods with the U.S. Park Police confirmed that a suspicious package on the northwest corner of the second floor of the museum caused it to be evacuated. The D.C. police bomb squad was on the scene.
Authorities determined the package along with the person were not hazardous. The person became unconscious and was taken to the hospital.
The condition is unknown at this time.
