4. Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting in the unit block of K. St. NW on Tuesday morning, according to officials with the Metropolitan Police Department. They say the officer was not injured.

3. Charles Severance, who Alexandria, Virginia's mayor calls a person of interest in three unsolved murders, was ordered held without bond in West Virginia. The ruling was made at the 53-year-old's extradition hearing Monday.

2. Lawyers for Virginia's former Governor Bob McDonnell and his wife Maureen are due back in a Richmond courtroom for a motions hearing. The couple is accused of accepting more than $165,000 in gifts and loans from the head of a dietary supplements company in exchange for promoting his products.
