WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Police are investigating a homicide that happened in the unit block of 46th Street, Southeast on Friday evening.
Metropolitan Police say they were called to the scene of a shooting around 7:08 p.m. Police found a man suffering from gunshot wounds inside of a car located in the unit block of 46th Street, Southeast, D.C. The man was taken to the hospital, where he was admitted in critical condition.
Police said Delonte Jackson, 30, of SE Washington, D.C. was pronounced dead on Saturday, after lifesaving efforts failed.
Jackson was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore Maryland where an autopsy will performed to determine the cause and the manner of death.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
