WASHINGTON (AP) -- Police in Washington are investigating after a 19-year-old man who was stabbed in the back at Metro's Stadium Armory station.
Radio station WTOP (http://bit.ly/1cKq5Y8 ) reports the man was stabbed several times at the station late Friday night. The man was conscious and breathing when he was taken to a hospital. Officials say the stabbing happened as a result of a fight on an inbound blue line train that spilled out onto the train platform around 11:20 p.m.
A juvenile male was also stabbed in the hand. The station was closed for the rest of the night following the stabbing.
Authorities said they recovered a hunting knife with a three-inch blade at the crime scene and stopped several people outside the station who might have been involved in or witnessed the fight.
