WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA9)--WUSA9's Pothole Alert Team spotted an accident waiting to happen. Cars driving on the wrong side of 27th Street in Northwest DC to avoid potholes.

Adam Zuckerman sent out the SOS on this land mine of tire crunchers in the 5300 block of 27th Street. The potholes stretch almost the entire length of this narrow 2-lane road between Military and Broad Branch. Or as Adam puts it, "The entire road is a pothole."

Things are particularly bad at the bottom of a hill near Broad Branch. This hill also sits at a bend in the road. So if cars decide to cross the yellow line to avoid the potholes, there's a good chance they can not see cars coming the other way.

WUSA9 reported this dangerous stretch of road to the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) on Wednesday, March 5. DDOT promises to fill potholes within 3 business days after receiving a complaint. So with any luck, this road will be patched up no later than Monday, March 10.
