Police say a man was killed Wednesday afternoon in Southeast Washington.
WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Police say a man was shot and killed Wednesday afternoon in Southeast Washington.
The victim has been identified as 20-year-old Vincent Purvis of Washington, police said.
Officials say police were called to the area of 8th St. and Yuma St. at 3:33 p.m. where they found Purvis suffering from gunshot wounds. Police say he was found unconscious and not breathing before being transported to a nearby hospital.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
