ASHBURN, Va. (WUSA9) -- A trial date has been set for an Ashburn man charged with the March killing of his estranged wife.
Last week, a Loudoun County judge denied a prosecution request to revoke Braulio Castillo's bond. He remains free.
Braulio, president and CEO of a Northern Virginia security company, is accused of killing Michelle Castillo and making her death look like a suicide. The mother of five was found hanging in her bathroom shower. Prosecutors say she was beaten and strangled by her estranged husband who then staged her body to look like a suicide.
Prosecutors say Braulio Castillo sneaked into Michelle's home, murdered her, then sneaked out. Prosecutors called a neighbor who has surveillance video that shows a person going toward and coming out of the home. A former friend identified the figure as Castillo by the way he walked.
Castillo will appear in court on July 6, 2015.
