ASHBURN, Va. (WUSA9) -- An Ashburn man charged with the March killing of his estranged wife will remain free on bond.
Braulio Castillo, president and CEO of a Northern Virginia security company, is accused of killing his estranged wife Michelle Castillo and making her death look like a suicide.
The Ashburn mother of five was found hanging in her bathroom shower the morning of March 20. Prosecutors say she was beaten and strangled by her estranged husband who then staged her body to look like a suicide.
Prosecutors say Braulio Castillo sneaked into Michelle's home, murdered her, then sneaked out. Prosecutors called a neighbor who has surveillance video that shows a person going toward and coming out of the home. A former friend identified the figure as Castillo by the way he walked.
According to court records, a Loudoun County Circuit Court judge denied a prosecution request to revoke the two million dollar bond payment on Wednesday.
