ASHBURN, Va. (WUSA9) -- Three people were displaced from an apartment Saturday in Ashburn, Va. due to a fire.

Officials say it happened around 5 p.m. in a second floor garden apartment in the 20900 block of Timber Ridge Terrace.

The fire was located and quickly extinguished, limiting extension to other units. Smoke and water damage was limited to the apartment of origin and the first floor apartment immediately below.

There were no civilian or firefighter injuries resulting from the incident. The Loudoun County Fire Marshal's office is investigating the cause of the fire and has estimated the dollar loss at $70,000.
