ALEXANDRIA, Va. (WUSA9) -- A man has been sentenced to 11 years in prison for trying to coerce and entice two children to engage in sexual activities, officials report.
Kenneth A. Brauckmann, 51, of Springfield, Virginia was sentenced on Friday. Officials say that Brauckmann was caught when he arranged to have sex with a 14-year-old girl who turned out to be an undercover detective.
Court documents say that Brauckmann used social networking sites to connect with the user he believed to be the young girl. Documents show that Brauckmann used online and text messages to make arrangements to engage in sexual activities with the girl and her 13-year-old friend. Brauckmann repeatedly requested nude pictures of the underage teens, officials say.
According to officials, Brauckmann was arrested on November 4th, 2013 when he arrived at a movie theater in Fairfax County expecting to meet the 13 and 14-year-old to have sex. Brauckmann plead guilty in May of 2014.
Court documents show that Brauckmann admitted that he had engaged in similar illegal behavior with actual female children ages 13 to 16 years old.
