ALEXANDRIA, Va. (WUSA9) -- The Alexandria Police Department is searching for a man who grabbed a 19-year-old woman's groin underneath her skirt and then fled in Alexandria, on Monday.
Police said the incident happened in the 5000 block of Dawes Avenue around 2 p.m.
According to authorities, the victim was walking to the Northern Virginia Community College campus when a man came up behind her. The suspect grabbed her groin and then ran away, police said.
Authorities are describing the suspect as a dark skinned man with a beard and mustache. Police said he may be Middle Eastern.
The suspect was in his twenties and is about 5 feet 4 inches tall and has a thin build. At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing a brown shirt, brown shorts, and a black baseball cap, police said.
