OLNEY, Md. (WUSA9) -- One teenager is dead and two others are severely injured after a single-car crash on Saturday morning in Olney, Md.

The driver and passenger in the front of the car were trapped inside, authorities said. The person sitting in the back had been ejected from the car.
The 2011 Chrysler 200 convertible was going westbound on Hines Road towards Cashell Road, police said. The vehicle suddenly left the road and hit a tree right before Macduff Avenue.
Police said the vehicle then crossed on MacDuff Avenue and hit a light pole and a telephone box. The vehicle rolled over and came to a halt.
All three of the teenagers were taken to the hospital with serious injuries, according to authorities. The person who was sitting in the back was being treated for life-threatening injuries and later died from his injuries. He was identified as 15-year-old Shawn Richard of Olney.
The driver has been identified as Austin Donovan Hall, 17, of Brookville. He has serious injuries, authorities said.
The front passenger has been identified as Maxwell Elliot Dechter, 17, of Silver Spring. He also has serious injuries, police said.
Classmates at Sherwood High School are mourning the loss of Shawn Gangloff. Many of them gathered at Oakdale Methodist Church on Sunday night to remember him and pray for the survivors.
His classmates described him as a "free spirit" and "the type of kid that you'd see in the hallways or anywhere else, at events and your face would light up. he'd brighten your day."
Back in the neighborhood where the crash occurred some parents were worried about the impact on their own teenagers. One parent, Lisa Smith, told us, "I made my kids get up, pulled them out of bed. The road was taped out. I made them look at it. I knew my son probably knew them. Didn't know who they were at the time. I still want him to see."
A makeshift memorial has grown on Hines Road under the tree that bears the scars of the horrific accident.
Anyone with information about this collision is asked to call the Montgomery County Police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000.
