WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Federal officials are offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of a serial bank robber in the D.C. area.

The FBI is offering $5,000 for the man they say has robbed banks in District Heights, Md. and Arlington, Va. The incidents date back as far as September of 2013.

Agents say the man say the man robbed the Capital One Bank at 6335 Marloboro Pike, in District Heights on Aug. 16. They believe he robbed the same bank on May 16 earlier this year. He's also wanted for a robbery at a Wells Fargo in Arlington on Sept. 13, 2013.

Witnesses describe him as a black man, in his mid-30's, about 5'8", and about 160 pounds. He demands money from the tellers using a note. No one has been hurt in any of the robberies.

If you have any information about the robber or the robberies that may help Agents and detectives, you are asked to call the Baltimore Division of the FBI at 410-265-8080. You could receive a reward of up to $5,000 leading to an arrest in these cases.
