WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- A large tree fell down in Georgetown early Monday morning, damaging three cars and bringing down wires.

It happened at the intersection of 44th Street and P Street, NW.

Pepco is evaluating the damage and handling the downed wires. A tree crew will then remove the debris.

Police have not said what caused the tree to come down.
