Singer Chris Brown expected in DC court

Singer Chris Brown is expected to be in Washington for a hearing on the assault charge he faces. Brown is scheduled Wednesday in D.C. Superior Court, where he could accept a plea bargain. Brown was arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault in October, accused of hitting a man outside the W hotel. MORE

Amendment could block DC pot decriminalization

Two local members of Congress may be squaring off Wednesday. D.C. delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton plans to fight an amendment to the District's budget, offered by Maryland's First District Congressman Andy Harris. Harris' legislation would block D.C.'s marijuana decriminalization bill, which makes possessing small amounts of pot punishable by just a fine. MORE
